The Photo Project Manager is a senior, highly technical role responsible for driving photo and creative projects from intake through delivery with precision and pace. This individual is intensely focused on execution, accountability, and keeping teams aligned to timelines, tools, and outcomes.
This role operates at the intersection of creative production and operational rigor, ensuring projects move efficiently through complex workflows while maintaining quality and momentum. The opportunity is less about creative direction and more about relentless execution ensuring the right work gets done, by the right people, at the right time, with no loss of momentum.
This role is long term freelance, ideally local to Chicago with onsite a few times a month.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project management for photo and creative initiatives, ensuring work moves smoothly from intake to final delivery
- Serve as a central point of coordination, keeping all stakeholders focused on priorities, timelines, and completion of work
- Manage detailed workflows and task structures within Adobe Workfront Fusion, including task creation, sequencing, and status management
- Leverage Adobe Workfront Fusion integrations ensuring assets are organized, traceable, and delivered on schedule
- Maintain and actively manage project timelines, flagging risks early and driving resolution
- Enforce process, governance, and compliance requirements throughout the lifecycle of each project
Skills & Experience
- Senior level experience in creative project management or creative production
- Highly technical and fluent in Adobe Workfront Fusion, including advanced task and workflow management
- Strong understanding of Adobe Workfront Fusion workflows, integrations, and asset management structures
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus and urgency
