What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Production Designer position at Creative Circle?
The client is a global beauty brand specializing in innovative skincare and cosmetics. They are looking for a Packaging Production Designer with 3-5 years experience specialized in packaging production & beauty packaging. This is a preferably an onsite engagement in Northbrook, IL with the opportunity to be hybrid. This would be a long-term freelance engagement with the potential to transform into a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Execute hands-on mockup production for CPG packaging, primarily small cosmetic boxes
- Perform hand comp work, including cutting, assembling, folding, and finishing physical mockups
- Print, trim and construct packaging mockups across multiple programs and brands
- Collaborate onsite with the team to align on specifications and production needs
- Collaborate closely with Design Manager
Experience & Skill Set
- Proven experience in physical mockup production, packaging comps, or production artistry
- Background in CPG packaging, ideally within beauty or cosmetics
- Strong hands-on skills in cutting, folding, and assembling
- Experience with printing and preparing production ready materials
- High attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
