Marketing Communications Specialist (Subscriptions)

Our client in the education space is looking for a freelance Marketing Communications Specialist (Subscriptions) to support the launch of their new subscription/membership offering. This role requires hands-on experience in subscription marketing, with the ability to shape strategy, develop campaigns, and execute across digital channels.

This remote role will be full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 3-4 months, with flexibility around launch phases.

Marketing Communications Specialist (Subscriptions) Responsibilities

• Develop and support the overall marketing and launch strategy
• Create and optimize campaigns across email, website, and social media
• Write, edit, and manage content for email and social platforms
• Track and optimize marketing efforts using performance data
• Provide guidance and support for messaging and campaign execution
• Assist with help desk management and reader inquiries
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout phased rollout
  
  

Marketing Communications Specialist (Subscriptions) Requirements

• Proven experience in subscription/membership marketing
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable with flexible timelines and phased launch
• Bonus: Background in education (Pre-K through Higher Ed), tech, or institutional marketing
