Position Overview
The role of the IT Project Manager is responsible for the management, documentation and delivery of the project plan, inclusive of timeline, scope, and budget requirements of a new brand acquisition into the Professional Products Division.
The duration of the assignment is 9 months with possibility to extend the contract next year but that is to be determined with next year's budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and managing small to medium IT projects from initiation through closure, including scope definition, scheduling, and resource tracking.
- Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and share regular updates with stakeholders.
- Use ServiceNow to manage project-related tickets, change requests, incidents and to ensure proper documentation and escalation paths.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues; escalate when necessary and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and drive follow-up on action items to ensure accountability.
- Support budget tracking, purchase request processing and documentation required for project financials.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies and IT best practices (including basic ITIL principles).
- Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and suggesting process enhancements for future projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 13 years of experience in IT project coordination, project management support, or related IT roles.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow for incident/change/request management or similar ITSM platforms.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Familiarity with common IT concepts (networks, servers, applications, security) and life-cycle delivery methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills with experience managing stakeholder expectations.
- Experience using project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Project management certification (CAPM, PMP) or ITIL Foundation is desirable but not required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
