Our sport apparel client is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their team for a 3 month hybrid role in Beaverton, OR. This role supports the creation of innovative basketball-focused graphic design across footwear and apparel collections. The designer will contribute to building compelling visual narratives that resonate with athletes and consumers globally through strong storytelling, design execution, and collaboration. The position requires a balance of creativity and strategic thinking, with the ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The Basics
Duration: 3 month assignment
Hours per week: Approximately 40 hours
Location: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end graphic design process including research, concepting, development, and final execution
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in graphic, product, or apparel design
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with demonstrated expertise in typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling
Other Qualifications
Bachelor degree in graphic design, product design, industrial design, or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience designing for sport, performance products, or consumer brands preferred
Ability to work through ambiguity and solve complex design challenges
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
Understanding of current design, sport, and cultural trends
Experience contributing to research and storytelling that informs product direction
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects across varying timelines and complexity
Experience working with athletes, consumers, or external collaborators is a plus
Creative problem solver with a growth mindset and adaptability
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop graphics for basketball apparel and footwear collections
- Create visual narratives through graphics, trims, and supporting design elements
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product management, development, and materials teams
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, seasonal reviews, and product creation meetings
- Align design concepts with product goals, aesthetic direction, and consumer insights
- Prepare and present design concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners
- Contribute to photoshoots, presentations, and product storytelling initiatives
- Manage workload across multiple projects and timelines while maintaining high quality standards
- Stay informed on design, sport, and cultural trends to inform creative direction
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
