Our agency client is seeking a Director of Production to lead complex experiential programs and manage a high-performing production team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This leader will own the full lifecycle of live events strategy through reconciliation, while acting as a trusted, senior-level client partner.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading large scale event programs, managing teams, and improving systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end production for major live events, including A/V, staging, scenic, run-of-show, rehearsals, and onsite leadership.
- Serve as a senior client partner, shaping program direction and building long-term trust.
- Oversee scopes, budgets, timelines, and production workflows across multiple programs.
- Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure flawless onsite execution.
- Strengthen production operations, improve processes, and drive adoption of new tools and technologies.
- Manage staffing plans, forecasting, onboarding, and development across the production team.
- Mentor and coach direct reports; create a connected, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Partner with agency leadership to improve communication, workflows, and cross-team alignment.
Requirements:
- 10 years in live event production or agency side experiential roles.
- Proven leadership experience managing large scale programs and diverse teams.
- Strong financial skills: budgeting, oversight, and post event reconciliation.
- Demonstrated ability to build client trust and lead senior level conversations.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable in fast paced environments.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills; calm under pressure.
- Experience with event tech, production tools, and operational platforms preferred.
