Designer / Art Director (Branding)

Our client, a B2B food regulation company, is seeking an experienced Designer / Art Director to enhance and elevate their existing branding, and create a more expressive, scalable, and cohesive design system that can be applied consistently across the company. This fully-remote opportunity starts as soon as we've identified the ideal candidate, and continues (30-40 hours per week) for about 3 weeks.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the client's internal design resources, setting a clear creative vision and delivering thoughtful, well-documented assets and templates that empower the broader team long after the engagement ends.

Designer / Art Director Responsibilities:

• Refresh and evolve existing brand elements, bringing new perspective and refinement
• Expand our visual language with a strong focus on design elements beyond color and typography (e.g., layout systems, graphic motifs, iconography, imagery style, etc.)
• Define and document a comprehensive, flexible design system for the company
• Design reusable templates for use across all major channels, including web, marketing collateral, events, and social media
• Ensure creative output is both elevated and practical, enabling efficient use by internal designers and stakeholders

Designer / Art Director Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (with a strong emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Working knowledge of Figma
• Past experience working with regulatory or compliance industry is a plus (but not a must)

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience leveraging AI tools for image creation to reduce reliance on stock photography
• Ability to create simple motion graphics in After Effects
• Alternatively, experience designing motion-ready visual systems or templated elements that can be handed off to a video editor for execution
