Our financial services client is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Content Writer to help shape the future of employee-facing digital content. This is role is expected to last around 10 months. Candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Jersey City, Newark, DE, or Columbus, OH (40 hrs/week).
In this role, you'll create clear, engaging, and accessible content that empowers employees to navigate HR services, tools, and programs with ease. You'll work across digital platforms-web, mobile, and digital assistants-to support a seamless self-service experience for a global workforce.
This role will play a key part in a large-scale content migration project, involving the audit, assessment, and remediation of approximately 1,000 PDFs and 1,000 articles. You'll lead efforts to ensure content meets editorial standards, is user-focused, and supports intuitive self-service experiences.
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of corporate writing experience, with a focus on self-service technical content, web content, or customer service communications
- Expertise in content design and web writing best practices, including structuring content for clarity, accessibility, and user engagement
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end content workflows, including high-volume content review, stakeholder collaboration, publishing, and performance analysis
Other Qualifications
- Degree in English, Communications, or a related field
- Strong project management skills to support high-cadence migration efforts
- Experience in content auditing, migration, and remediation
- Familiarity with content management systems (ServiceNow strongly preferred)
- Understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, and content ownership
- Ability to collaborate across large, matrixed organizations
- Experience in highly regulated environments is a plus
- Knowledge of HTML and internal communications best practices
- Interest or experience in AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to enhance content efficiency
- SEO knowledge and chatbot training experience are desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a content migration project, including audit, inventory, and disposition of legacy content
- Develop new evergreen content for HR topics such as Benefits, Compensation, Career Development, and more
- Apply content design principles to create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences
- Collaborate with product owners, HR leads, change managers, and communications teams
- Manage the full editorial lifecycle: writing, editing, stakeholder feedback, publishing, and iteration
- Maintain and update existing content to reflect changes in policy or process
- Use ServiceNow to publish and manage content
- Triage and assign incoming content requests across the HR content team
- Analyze content performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Review peer content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to standards
- Ensure content is optimized for findability and usability, including SEO and accessibility best practices
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
