3D Artist (Medical Device Product Illustrations)

Position Overview
We are seeking a freelance 3D Artist to support project-based work in the medical device space. This role involves creating high-quality product illustrations for internal use. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in 3D modeling and rendering, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with an internal creative team.

Location: Remote
Engagement: As-needed, project-based
Start Date: Late January 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the client's internal medical illustrator and 3D artist to create static product illustrations
• Collaborate with the team ensure medical accuracy and brand consistency.
• Fully create the 3D renders and collaborate with the internal medical illustrator for final refinements.
• Complete all 3D modeling and hand off files to the in-house artist for texturing and styling. 

Qualifications

• Strong product visualization capability with experience in visually oriented 3D programs (not engineering-focused). Examples include Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar.
• Ability to create models, apply textures, light, and render for realistic product representation.
• Proven experience in 3D modeling and rendering for product visualization, ideally in the medical space.
• Ability to work with sensitive, proprietary content and build trust with internal teams.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and creative stakeholders.
