Creative ArtReach is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and compassionate individuals to join our Creative Crew Support Staff team. This part-time role supports Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade students during either morning (TK/K) or after-school enrichment programs. Support Staff assist in delivering engaging, arts-based activities and play a key role in building a safe, creative, and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Whether you're helping with paint and glitter or guiding students through a group game, you'll be a valued part of a dynamic team making a positive impact through creativity and connection.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Support
- Assist with the implementation of visual art, theater, music, movement, and other creative enrichment activities.
- Assist with day to day afterschool program including academic support, running a themed club, and assisting with other curriculum implementation.
- Support setup and cleanup of materials, supplies, and shared spaces.
- Ensure program activities align with curriculum and daily schedule.
Student Engagement
- Supervise and encourage students during lessons, free play, and structured activities.
- Build rapport with students, providing positive reinforcement and adapting to individual needs.
- Help create an inclusive, nurturing environment that promotes self-expression and cooperation.
Behavioral Support
- Model respectful, responsible behavior and support the enforcement of classroom expectations.
- Use positive redirection to manage minor behavioral issues and escalate significant concerns to site leadership as needed.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Creative Captains, fellow staff, and school site personnel to ensure smooth program flow.
- Share updates on student behavior, participation, and needs with leadership.
Logistics & Admin
- Support attendance tracking, student sign-in/out, and supply inventory.
- Help prepare snacks, assist during transitions, and provide general support during classroom routines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or experience in education, arts, or childcare preferred.
- Experience working with youth in educational, camp, or after-school environments.
- Passion for creativity, education, and working with children.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Must be available to work either:
- Morning Program: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:30 PM (TK/K focus), or
- After-School Program: Monday–Friday, approx. 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Must pass a background check (Live Scan) and submit a negative TB test (within the last 3 years).
- Reliable transportation to assigned school sites.
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs, sit on the floor, and actively engage with students.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $21.00–$23.00, depending on experience
