Location: Onsite SLC, Utah
Salary: $75-85/hr

Type: Contract to hire

Must have skills:
- 8-10 years of experience
- Strong programming background (Java preferred; also open to Go or Python)
- Experience with microservices containerization (Kubernetes, etc.)
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
- CI/CD DevOps fundamentals
- Solid understanding of SDLC and how systems operate in production (end-to-end)
- Experience in larger, complex environments
Responsibilities:
- Improve system reliability across multiple engineering teams by identifying risks, bottlenecks, and failure points in production systems
- Partner with software engineering, platform, QA, security, and operations teams to drive consistent reliability and operational best practices
- Support and enhance production environments through incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation work
- Design and implement automation to reduce manual operational work and improve system stability
- Contribute to and promote modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure as code
