Our client, a leading provider of home infusion services, is seeking a Staff Infusion Pharmacist for their Waynesboro, VA location.
Salary Range: $60-$70 per hour (flexible/based on experience) benefits other perks.
Qualifications: A valid Pharmacist license in the state of Virginia. Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in home infusion or sterile compounding (preferred). Comprehensive knowledge of USP and standards. Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Prepare, verify, and dispense home infusion medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and optimize individualized medication plans. Provide patient counseling and education on home infusion therapies, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans. Monitor patient outcomes and make recommendations for adjustments as needed. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including USP and standards for sterile compounding. Maintain accurate records, conduct periodic audits, and ensure readiness for inspections. Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications. Sterile Compounding Supervise and perform sterile compounding processes, including the formulation, preparation, and labeling of infusion medications. Ensure adherence to best practices in aseptic technique and sterile preparation standards. Collaboration & Professional Networking Work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of care. Represent Vital Care in professional forums to stay updated on industry trends and share insights. Team Support Assist in training and mentoring pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
