Job Summary
The Shop Technician position supports the shop operations by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; and effectively keeping records. These
Job Responsibilities: Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifies worn and damaged parts. Maintains the availability of equipment for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules, installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion and completing winterization procedures Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts and/or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulics.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required Field-related Associate’s or Technical School degree preferred 3–5 years minimum experience with truck/diesel maintenance and preventative maintenance preferred.
