Shipping Manager- Gainesville, FL
Salary range: $70-$80k (flexible/based on experience) benefits
Our Client, one of the best building supply companies in the Gainesville market, is looking for a Shipping & Logistics Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible for all scheduling of product deliveries using our fleet of trucks and common carries. This is a hands-on leadership role. Our diverse and highly motivated team works in a great, up-beat work environment. As the Shipping Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring the on time delivery of our products to the customers Coordinate with production, sales, and engineering to create daily shipping priorities and schedules. Coordinate with operations to load trusses on trailers and ensure timely departures and deliveries. Manage drivers on individual schedules and compliance with all DOT requirements. Facilitate and follow up on any maintenance issues with our fleet of trucks and trailers to ensure that we always have the equipment we need to meet the delivery schedules. Communicate regularly with customers to coordinate deliveries, confirm schedules, and reprioritizes as needed. Manage all DOT paperwork and requirements for our fleet. Manage training, safety and continuous learning for our drivers. Take the lead on improving and standardizing SOPs for the shipping department. Collaborate with senior leadership on continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and capital investments related to shipping.
Requirements Experience in dispatch and/or trucking fleet management Familiar with DOT requirements Customer Service experience Strong computer skills Strong Organization skills 100% in Office
