Position Overview
The Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments, resident care, documentation, and emergency response during an assigned shift.
This role works closely with residents and the healthcare team to monitor changes in condition, provide quality care, and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

Position Overview
The Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments, resident care, documentation, and emergency response during an assigned shift.
This role works closely with residents and the healthcare team to monitor changes in condition, provide quality care, and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
- Administer medications according to physicians' orders and resident care plans
- Maintain inventory of facility and resident prescription medications
- Administer treatments, including dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, IV fluids, and other prescribed care
- Provide direct resident care as needed
- Respond promptly to emergency calls in independent living apartments and common areas
- Monitor residents' health and mental status and report changes in condition appropriately
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including medications, nursing care, incident reports, and physician orders
- Assist with CARES Tool Assessments and Quality Assurance audits as assigned
- Help maintain a safe and cohesive environment for residents and staff
- Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Follow applicable Department of Health and Human Services regulations
- Cross-train in healthcare departments, including Resident Services and the Health Clinic, and provide support as needed
- Ability to accurately administer medications and treatments
- Strong clinical observation and documentation skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to resident emergencies
- Knowledge of confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to follow facility policies, care plans, physician orders, and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work across healthcare departments and support resident care needs
