Job Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for directing and maintaining clinical standards of care within a Home Care Agency. This role oversees field staff, ensures proper implementation of client care plans, and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations. Reports to the Director of Patient Services and Agency Manager.
Job Responsibilities: Ensure high-quality client care and adherence to established plans of care. Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments and develop individualized care plans. Supervise, evaluate, and provide guidance to PCAs, HHAs, and other field staff. Review para-professional activity reports and take appropriate actions. Provide training, in-service programs, and professional development for staff. Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Consult with physicians and authorized practitioners regarding client care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all visits and regulatory needs. Participate in committees such as Infection Control, Serious Reportable Incident, and Continuous Quality Improvement. Participate in rotating on-call duties. Investigate and resolve client care complaints. Promote agency services to referral sources and participate in community outreach.
Qualifications: Current RN license in New York State. Minimum of one year of nursing experience within the last three years. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Public Health preferred. Ability to lift, transfer, and position clients (up to 150–250 lbs.) and perform other physical tasks. Proficient with computers, telephones, and office equipment. Meets pre-employment health requirements and provides satisfactory references.,
