Registered Nurse – Eye Surgical Services
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (No nights, weekends, or holidays)
Location: Kokomo, IN
Pay: $26.16–$35.31/hour

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the treatment and care of surgical patients. Responsibilities include recording patient symptoms, administering medications, assisting with rehabilitation, and educating patients and families on medical conditions. The RN also provides emotional support and works within the surgical team to deliver care before, during, and after procedures.
Reporting Structure Reports To: Director of Nursing Supervision: None Essential Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in pre-surgical, operative, and recovery phases Collaborate with medical staff and departments to ensure coordinated patient care Assure quality of care by adhering to compliance standards, ASC philosophies, and state/federal regulations Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families Maintain a safe and clean work environment following all procedures and regulations Adhere to infection-control policies, medication administration guidelines, and controlled substance regulations Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Education and Experience ASN or BSN degree required Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of employment Minimum of one year of operating room experience preferred Core Competencies Judgment and decision-making Problem-solving skills Adaptability Caring practices Collaboration and teamwork Communication skills Attention to detail and organization Stress tolerance Physical Demands & Work Environment (ADA Guidelines) Physical Activity: Standing for extended periods, stooping, grasping, lifting, talking, and hearing Physical Requirements: Medium work Up to 50 lbs occasionally Up to 30 lbs frequently Up to 10 lbs constantly Requires close visual acuity for tasks Potential Workplace Hazards Anesthesia gases/agents Blood and bloodborne pathogens Communicable diseases Hazardous waste Moving equipment parts Sharp objects,
