Job Summary
Reporting to the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer, the paralegal will provide key support for day-to-day legal and compliance issues and work closely with various members of the Legal and Compliance Department and senior management.
Job Responsibilities: Drafting and reviewing standard contracts and various other documentation Assisting with contract management including contract signing, tracking, renewals and expirations Assisting with legal matters, including regulatory/consumer agency inquiries, and litigation support Maintaining files for Legal and Compliance Department Managing legal department calendars, including compliance deadlines and recurring obligations. Managing invoice processing and billing Responding to internal inquiries and providing general support to business departments. Performing ad hoc research to support the Legal and Compliance teams Assisting with policy drafting and updates
Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred) 3 years’ experience as a paralegal (or equivalent position) in a law firm or corporate legal department Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong project management and analytical skills Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Track record of establishing solid relationships, polished and highly personable Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial-minded environment Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
