Customer Order Management Specialist
Location: Atlanta (30346)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Order Management Specialist to join a collaborative team supporting customers throughout the order lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, deliveries stay on schedule, and customers receive exceptional service from initial order through completion.

Responsibilities Process and manage customer orders from entry through delivery Verify order accuracy and ensure customer requirements are met Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery Monitor open orders and proactively communicate updates or delays Recommend alternative products when inventory shortages or product changes occur Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and product availability Investigate and resolve customer issues, claims, and order discrepancies Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend process improvements Maintain accurate customer records and documentation Build strong relationships with customers through consistent communication and follow-up Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services that meet customer needs Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams
Qualifications 2 years of experience in Order Management, Customer Service, Sales Support, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, or related experience Experience processing customer orders in an ERP system Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word) Experience with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar ERP/CRM systems is highly preferred
