Compensation: $120k – $140k bonus (DOE)
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with both Mechanical and Industrial expertise to lead product design, process improvement, and manufacturing initiatives. This role acts as the critical link between engineering design and production, ensuring products are built for performance, durability, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
Design and develop heavy-duty products with a focus on durability, performance, and manufacturability
Create and validate 3D CAD models and assemblies
Perform structural analysis and testing as needed
Produce detailed production drawings and engineering documentation
Implement design improvements based on production and field feedback
Process & Manufacturing Engineering
Analyze production workflows and drive efficiency improvements
Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Develop standardized work instructions and technical procedures
Improve tooling, fixturing, and fabrication methods
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and production issues
Support capacity planning and production optimization
Operational Engineering Support
Maintain BOM accuracy and ERP engineering data
Support quoting, costing, and material selection decisions
Manage engineering changes and revision control
Partner with production teams to resolve technical challenges
Track and report on engineering KPIs and performance metrics
Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise and support CAD Operator for drawing accuracy and release readiness
Mentor junior team members and interns
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, purchasing, sales, and leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or heavy equipment
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling/assemblies
Experience creating and validating engineering drawings and documentation
Experience with ERP systems and BOM management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
FEA experience (ANSYS or equivalent)
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience with welded steel assemblies or trailer/heavy equipment manufacturing
