What You'll Do Litigation & Case Management
- Manage civil litigation matters from initial filing through resolution
- Develop legal strategies and case plans based on client objectives and applicable law
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
- Manage multiple active cases while meeting court deadlines and client expectations
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents
- Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
- Review evidence, case files, and supporting documentation
- Ensure all filings comply with applicable court rules and procedural requirements
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and communicate with opposing counsel
- Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and litigation materials for hearings and trial
- Advocate on behalf of clients while achieving favorable outcomes whenever possible
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff throughout the litigation process
- Keep clients informed regarding case strategy, developments, and next steps
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of all legal work
- 5 years of general civil litigation experience
- Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal court procedures
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and competing deadlines
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Municipal Law
- Probate & Estate Planning
- Real Estate Law
- Additional litigation certifications or advanced legal training
- Portable book of business valued at $250,000
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Massachusetts Bar license in good standing
