Role Description:
Murphy & King is seeking a dynamic and talented associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in business litigation, and possess exceptional research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for handling a diverse docket of business-related disputes, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and managing case files from inception through resolution. Day-to-day tasks include conducting legal research and analysis, preparing memoranda, and assisting with strategy development for complex commercial litigation matters. The role involves taking and defending depositions, appearing in state and federal courts, and collaborating closely with partners and other team members to prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The Litigation Associate will interact with clients, participate in case planning, and contribute to efficient, value-driven case management. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Demonstrated ability to draft and argue motions and other litigation-related filings.
- Proficiency in legal research, including complex statutory, regulatory, and case law analysis.
- Experience conducting and defending depositions and participating in discovery practice.
- Familiarity with state and federal courts procedures, rules, and courtroom practice.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Massachusetts bar.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, work collaboratively in a team environment, and maintain professionalism in client-facing interactions.
