Responsibilities
- Design and develop machinery, equipment, and production systems
- Overhaul and upgrade legacy machines (hydraulic molding presses, crimpers, etc.)
- Modify existing equipment to improve safety, functionality, and reliability
- Create technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
- Specify and evaluate new equipment (internal designs and vendor solutions)
- Troubleshoot design issues and support installation
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, QA, and engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001 and OSHA standards
- 4 years of experience in mechanical, process, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD; experience with Inventor and PLCs is a plus
- Familiar with GD&T, structural analysis, and materials (metals/plastics)
- Hands-on experience disassembling, rebuilding, and retrofitting industrial equipment
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
