Location: Central Florida
My client is a growing general contractor specializing in high-quality commercial construction projects throughout Florida. With a reputation built on execution, safety, and client satisfaction, the company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for projects in the Central Florida market.
Position Overview
The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a highly independent leader with deep ground-up construction expertise, strong knowledge of Central Florida construction markets, and hands-on experience managing projects from start to finish.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in commercial construction, tilt-up projects, and full-site leadership with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion Oversee subcontractors, vendors, labor schedules, and daily site coordination Ensure projects remain on schedule and proactively address delays or field challenges Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans, specs, and client expectations Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, architects, and ownership teams Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and progress updates Manage site logistics, inspections, punch lists, and closeout processes Utilize Procore for daily logs, documentation, RFIs, schedules, reporting, and project communication Maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, inspectors, and trade partners Qualifications 10 years of construction management / superintendent experience with General Contractors Prior experience with Central Florida General Contractors.
