Position Overview
Our client is seeking experienced Junior and Senior CAD Drafters to join their team, with a focus on light commercial drafting. This role supports both new construction and remodels across commercial and mixed-use developments. You'll work closely with designers, engineers, and builders to produce precise, code-compliant construction documents.
Key Responsibilities: Develop accurate and detailed construction drawings for light commercial projects Translate conceptual designs into technical documents Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers Ensure plans adhere to Florida Building Codes and zoning requirements Support field teams with drawing updates and resolution of site-specific issues Manage workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ideal Candidate Profile: 5 years of AutoCAD experience (2010 or later) Experience producing documents for light commercial buildings; residential or multi-family experience is a plus Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code Familiarity with structural systems and construction detailing Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proficiency in MS Office; SketchUp, Revit, and 3D CAD are a plus Highly organized with a sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset Ability to receive feedback and contribute to a team-oriented culture Required Qualifications: Fluent in spoken and written English Must have real-world drafting experience with AutoCAD Prior work on commercial or mixed-use projects preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
