Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide comprehensive medical services across several key departments in Rocky Mount. Under the direction of a licensed physician, you will diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, manage internal organ systems, and ensure high-quality patient recovery and disease prevention. We have four specific openings available:
Gastroenterology (GI) – Experience In GI Is Highly Preferred.
Walk-In Clinic – Ideal for those with an Urgent Care or Primary Care background.
Internal Medicine – Focused on adult chronic care and diagnosis.
Family Medicine – Providing care for a broad range of patient ages.
Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care: Respond to requests for daily visits, consults, and admissions. Diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic health conditions.
Diagnostics: Order, perform, and interpret laboratory and radiology tests within your scope of practice.
Treatment: Prescribe medications (including controlled substances) and develop treatment goals in collaboration with physicians.
Coordination: Assist in all facets of care coordination, including referring patients to specialists and communicating plans to families.
Documentation: Maintain accurate charts in the EMR (Centricity) with strict attention to coding, HIPAA compliance, and timely authentication of orders.
Triage: Manage patient telephone calls, provide consultations, and initiate reimbursement for services rendered.
Qualifications
Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
Licensure: * NP: Current licensure with the NC Board of Nursing ( RN license).
PA: Current licensure by the NC Medical Board.
Experience: 2 years of clinical experience is preferred.
Tech Skills: Experience with EMR systems (Centricity preferred) and strong typing skills.
Competencies: High integrity, ability to work under pressure, excellent listening skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
Physical: Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to communicable diseases and medicinal preparations.
