Overview

We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Waiter to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for the food and beverage industry, and experience in fine dining or casual dining environments. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents while providing guests with memorable dining experiences. Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-paced settings and have a strong understanding of food and beverage service standards. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly desirable. A background in food safety, wine knowledge, cocktail service, and spirits experience will be considered valuable assets.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit card payments
• Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, cocktails, and menu options
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally
• Support bussing tables and assisting hosts/hostesses as needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and excellent communication abilities
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
• Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation practices preferred
• Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
