Server/Cashier

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing food and beverage orders, and handling cash register operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and proficiency with POS systems. Previous experience with food preparation, restaurant operations, and sanitation standards is highly valued. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Process cash, credit card, and retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and register operations.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while providing excellent customer service to enhance the dining experience.
• Upsell menu items to increase sales by recommending specials or popular items.
• Maintain a clean workspace, including clearing tables, bussing, sanitation, and kitchen area cleanliness.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently when required for food prep or service.
• Manage food service customer order management, ensuring timely delivery of orders and customer satisfaction.
• Support food safety management practices by following sanitation protocols and handling food properly.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments preferred; retail or grocery store experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations.
• Ability to handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with food handling, sanitation, and safety standards within the food industry.
• Excellent time management skills to manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively when necessary.
• Prior experience in serving, bussing, or café environments is advantageous but not required.
