This role supports overall kitchen operations by ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment before, during, and after events.
Essential Job Functions
- Wash pots, pans, silverware, and kitchen tools using a commercial dishwasher or by hand
- Maintain sanitation standards in all dishwashing and kitchen areas
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked appropriately
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and proper storage of clean dishes and equipment
- Notify supervisors of low supplies or product levels
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Support kitchen organization during and after events
- Must be at least 16 years of age (certain restrictions apply)
- Valid County Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and in possession for each event worked
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (prior food service experience or current enrollment considered)
- Must complete all pre-employment paperwork and successfully pass a background check and math assessment involving U.S. monetary units
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- 6 months experience in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in wet conditions, varying temperatures, and loud environments
