Pharmacy Technician - Full Time

Description: As a full-time, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, mostly 8 hour days between 8AM and 6PM.
Starting Pay: $14.50 to $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
About the Facility: Medical Plaza Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and is a stand alone pharmacy that is located within Lake Charles Memorial Hospital by the medical staff offices. This pharmacy will provide services to discharged patients, hospital employees and the retail community. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- Louisiana Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
