The Technical Document Manager / Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the creation, establishment and maintenance of technical documents for the organization including ingredient and raw material specifications, standard operating procedures and quality control procedures. Will provide oversight and leadership of the documentation processes, approvals and the system in which to maintain documents.
Responsibilities include:

Job Requirements:
High Level Job Information:
- Responsible for identifying quality, detect defects, and ensuring consistency across cereal and snack mix SKU’s
- Evaluates, grades and scores finished product cereal / snack mixes against coating coverage and sensory flavor standards
- Evaluates, grades, and scores raw material (uncoated cereal base) and ingredients (e.g., pea protein)
- Collaborates with Catalina manufacturing and quality, and co-manufacturers of cereal bases, to ensure product consistency
- Must have ability to evaluate products with high degree of sensory accuracy
- Previous experience in cereal sensory, or coffee / cheese grading a plus
- Experience in AQL / statistical sampling methodology a plus
- Will be working in Indianapolis, IN area
- Travel to co-mfg. primarily in Midwest region, for on-site calibration and auditing of cereal quality
The Technical Document Manager / Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the creation, establishment and maintenance of technical documents for the organization including ingredient and raw material specifications, standard operating procedures and quality control procedures. Will provide oversight and leadership of the documentation processes, approvals and the system in which to maintain documents.
Responsibilities include:
- The position will have responsibility for the creation, revision, updating and approval of technical documents such as specifications, standard operating procedures and quality inspection documents
- Create ingredients and raw material specification documents
- Oversee the approval process of documents, ensuring appropriate templates are utilized, and that documents are routed, reviewed, approved, distributed, controlled and implemented
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness in formatting and content
- Coordinate, schedule, conduct, and facilitate document review meetings as needed
- Organize existing document storage system
- Overseeing design and implementation of a specification system
- Support internal and external audit activities including plant audits and inspections
- Other duties may be assigned as required

Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Science or other related field / discipline. Extensive and significant experience can be considered in lieu of BS degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in food & beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device or supplements industries
- Experience working with electronic document control systems preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management System processes and applicable regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional departments
- Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills
- Exhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within teams
- Is creative and intellectually curious; tried different and novel ways to solve obstacles
- Ability to write policy and procedures in their areas of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize and multitasking required
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Fluent in applications such as MS Excel and Word
