R&D Chemist

Mid-sized specialty chemical company is looking for an experienced coatings formulation chemist at their main R&D Lab in the far west suburbs of Chicago. If you have expertise in coatings formulation and like research and development, this could be a great opportunity for you! Duties:

• Develop paints and coatings in the Laboratory - this is new product development as well as improving existing products
• Support manufacturing
• Support Sales - most of their development projects come from sales where the chemists are asked to match competitor products in the marketplace
• Improve existing products and support customers having problems with these products
• 0-5% travel
