Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties, ensuring exceptional service, compliance, and operational efficiency. Duties
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing available units, conducting tours, screening applicants, and executing lease agreements using systems like Yardi or OneSite.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, and other legal requirements related to landlord-tenant law.
- Handle tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts through effective negotiation and conflict management skills, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Administer rent collection processes, enforce lease terms, process contracts, and manage legal administrative tasks related to evictions or lease violations.
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and records management for all property-related documentation using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Coordinate with vendors for property maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools; oversee inspections and ensure timely repairs.
- Conduct regular property inspections to monitor condition and compliance; prepare reports on property status for senior management.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to tenants when appropriate while maintaining ethical sales practices.
- Manage office operations including phone etiquette, customer relationship management (CRM), filing systems, and general administrative support.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related federal or state housing policies.
- Experience working with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution, negotiation, and customer service within a fast-paced environment.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, contracts administration, and facilities management is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling legal documentation and maintenance records.
