Position Overview
This role is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health, long-term planning, and operational support. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial direction while also supporting critical functions such as human resources, IT administration, facilities oversight, and grant management. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented leader who enjoys building strong financial systems and processes that enable sustainable growth and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Provide overall leadership for financial planning, management, and reporting across the organization.
- Partner with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to support strategic planning, long-range goals, and fiscal policy development.
- Establish, implement, and maintain sound financial controls, policies, and compliance procedures.
Budgeting & Accounting
- Lead the annual budgeting process for all programs and departments.
- Prepare consolidated budgets, financial forecasts, and detailed cost analyses.
- Conduct cost and unit-cost analyses to support funding alignment and rate development.
- Track, analyze, and report budget variances to the Executive Director and Program Directors.
Grant Management & Financial Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with all financial requirements related to federal, state, and private grants and contracts.
- Prepare, submit, and monitor grant vouchers, claims, and required financial reports.
- Oversee program expenditures and proactively identify potential over- or under-spending risks.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and financial reporting related to grants and funding sources.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee daily banking activities and manage cash flow to support operational needs.
- Act as the primary liaison with financial institutions.
- Support investment planning in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer.
- Develop and maintain Board-approved fiscal policies.
Human Resources & Administrative Support
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all employment-related laws and regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and structures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage contracts related to IT services, facilities maintenance, and risk management.
Compliance & Governance Reporting
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in compliance with GAAP and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure timely completion of all required financial and regulatory reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
