Construction Site Supervisor

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Lead Pre-Construction professional to guide our estimating and bid preparation efforts on mid-sized projects valued between $1M–$8M. This role is ideal for an experienced preconstruction leader who thrives on balancing technical detail with strategic insight. The Lead Pre-Construction will oversee estimating processes, mentor junior staff, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure high-quality proposals that align with client needs and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction process for projects in the $1M–$8M range, including conceptual estimating, detailed take-offs, cost analysis, and budgeting.
• Manage and oversee estimating teams; assign tasks, review work, and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and recommend go/no-go strategies for pursuits, balancing resource allocation with opportunity potential.
• Collaborate with project managers, business development, and operations to align scope, budget, and schedule.
• Engage with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to build strong working relationships and ensure competitive, accurate pricing.
• Prepare detailed proposals and presentations for leadership review and client submission.
• Mentor and develop junior preconstruction staff, sharing best practices and ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating tools, databases, and preconstruction processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project development within the construction industry.
• Proven ability to successfully manage projects in the $1M–$8M range.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience with a track record of team development.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods, cost drivers, and market pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
