SUMMARY
The Dispensary Supervisor is responsible for informing patients of available products and how they should be used. Dispensary Supervisors perform all other duties performed by Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates, while also overseeing Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates and over all dispensary operations when the Dispensary Manager or Dispensary Assistant Managers are off duty or unavailable. Because Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates spend the most time with patients/customers, it is imperative individuals in this position maintain sincere professionalism and knowledge of all forms of medical marijuana as well as staying current on all state laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates
- Delegate responsibilities to Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates Participate in seminars and conferences related to the continuing education of work duties
- Motivate and encourage dispensary employees
- Ensure high-quality for the dispensary
- Ensure the dispensary inventory is stocked with high-quality products, which are regularly replenished to guarantee an uninterrupted flow of necessary goods required for operations
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service, patient care and sales skills by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Retail Associates/Budtenders and Patient Care/Sales Associates
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High school diploma required
- One to two years related experience in dispensing controlled substances
- 2 years supervising and leading others in a retail environment
- Experience managing high volumes of inventory
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred
- Must comply with state regulations and guidelines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing and moving for 2-3 hours at a time; sitting for prolonged periods, some bending
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, computer, and telephone.
- May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Moderate noise level similar to a typical busy retail environment
- Varied hours and/or days, including nights, days, holidays, or weekends
