This role supports the team’s Co-Chair in Little Rock and provides litigation support to attorneys handling matters in Arkansas state and federal courts, including coordination with team members in New York and Washington, D.C.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented and a proactive self-starter who can manage competing priorities under tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail. This position requires strong communication, organization, and technology skills, as well as the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels of the Firm.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, transcribe, and revise correspondence and legal documents (e.g., memoranda, pleadings, court filings, charts, and tables) using word processing software
- Prepare and submit electronic filings in federal and state courts
- Proofread all work for typographical and grammatical purposes
- Provide litigation support, including preparing documents for filing and service; organizing hearing and exhibit materials; coordinating court reporters; and preparing courtesy copies of pleadings
- Maintain attorney calendars; coordinate meeting logistics; and confirm appointments throughout the day
- Manage attorney phone calls, including screening calls and scheduling conference calls via Microsoft Teams and other platforms
- Support weekly meetings by preparing agendas and recording/distributing minutes
- Arrange travel for assigned attorneys
- Monitor email for assigned attorneys, as requested
- Open, organize, and maintain client and office files in electronic and paper filing systems
- Use the Firm’s docketing program to enter and maintain deadlines and required dates
- Track, compile, and submit expense reimbursements and vendor invoices in the Firm’s finance system (ChromeRiver)
- Prepare and submit conflict checks and new matter intake forms
- Prepare, proofread, and process engagement letters and other correspondence
- Assist with closing files in accordance with department protocol
- Prepare and update status reports and recurring client communications
- Coordinate CLE training classes
- Maintain client contact lists for marketing and client events
- Coordinate logistics for client and guest meetings (e.g., breakfasts, lunches, and dinners)
- Reserve conference rooms for depositions and meetings, including confirming videoconferencing needs and attendee counts
- 5–7 years of legal and/or executive assistant experience
- Strong proficiency with legal and business software (as applicable), such as document management (iManage/DeskSite/WorkSite), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and practice/operations tools (Intapp, BigHand, Docket Enterprise/DTE, ChromeRiver)
- Prior experience with federal and state court e-filing
- Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, including Styles and redlining; strong PDF skills (e.g., Adobe Pro, PDF Docs4). If not currently advanced, must be able to reach an advanced level within a reasonable period of time
- Typing speed of 60 wpm
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and staff
- Flexibility to adjust to changing assignments; expected to provide support to primary attorneys and, as needed, other attorneys within the Litigation practice and the office
- In office at least 3 days per week
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Notary preferred
