The Senior Staffing Specialist is a high‑impact, hands‑on role leading full‑cycle recruiting while partnering closely with clients to fuel business growth. You’ll mentor teammates, elevate processes, and own outcomes in an environment that values speed, strategy, and smart execution.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Recruiting & Talent Strategy
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for complex or high-volume job orders, ensuring timely and accurate placements that meet client expectations.
- Proactively source, screen, interview, and place top talent using advanced recruiting techniques, market insights, and data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct interviews via phone, video, and in person, applying strong assessment skills to evaluate candidate fit and long-term potential.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates to ensure CoWorx remains an employer of choice.
- Ensure full compliance with ATS usage, documentation standards, and internal operational processes.
- Depending on location, oversee payroll accuracy and resolve payroll-related issues for working talent.
Client Engagement & Business Growth
- Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, proactively strengthening partnerships through regular communication, site visits, and service excellence.
- Partner closely with Sales, Branch Management, Operations, and Client Specialists to understand workforce needs and align recruiting strategies.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and document qualified leads for the Sales team.
- Manage job postings, social media outreach, and recruitment marketing initiatives to attract high-quality candidates.
- Support retention initiatives by monitoring performance, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive client and candidate experience.
- Attend client and prospect site visits, including worksite evaluations.
- Analyze trends in recruiting and performance data to drive informed decision-making.
- Partner with corporate teams including Operations Excellence/Compliance, Safety, Marketing, and People & Culture to support operational success.
- Support unemployment processes (assignment offers, work refusals, audits, and hearings) and Workers’ Compensation initiatives.
Performance, Accountability & Leadership
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of weekly gross margin ($GM) goals and the strategic actions required to achieve and grow them.
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly KPIs, including recruiting activities, interviews completed, fill ratios, client visits, and sales lead generation.
- Act as an escalation point for client and candidate challenges, modeling best practices and driving consistency across the team.
- Mentor Staffing Specialists and Talent Coordinators by sharing sourcing strategies, tools, and best practices that enhance productivity.
- Lead by example by aligning daily activities with branch, team, and organizational goals.
- Accurately document all activities in the ATS and weekly performance tracker.

- Partner closely with Talent Coordinators to deliver a seamless candidate experience and efficient onboarding.

- Perform additional branch duties as needed to support overall performance and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 3 years of proven success in staffing or recruiting, with a track record of exceeding KPIs.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to influence decisions.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, Microsoft Office, and social media recruiting tools.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful, responsive, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel locally for client visits, recruiting events, and site evaluations as needed.
- Proven success in performance-driven environments with clear and aggressive goals.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
