Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dog daycare activities, ensuring all dogs are safe, comfortable, and engaged in appropriate play and enrichment.
• Lead and motivate a team of pet care staff, providing training on dog handling, animal behavior, and safety procedures.
• Oversee pet intake and check-out processes, verifying health records and owner instructions for each dog.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the facility by implementing pet grooming routines, kennel cleaning, and sanitization protocols for animal care areas.
• Monitor dog behavior continuously to prevent conflicts, utilizing animal restraint techniques and handling skills as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards including heavy lifting, team lifting procedures, outdoor work safety, and animal restraint protocols.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, behaviors, and any incidents that occur during daycare hours.

Skills

• Strong background in pet sitting, dog training, kennel management or pet boarding operations.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to address client inquiries professionally and empathetically.
• Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal behavior to promote positive interactions.
• Ability to perform outdoor work safely while managing multiple tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing facilities, and supervising outdoor play areas.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, team lifting, and prolonged periods of active movement around the facility.
• Familiarity with pet care facility sanitization practices to ensure a clean environment conducive to animal health.
