ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for daily operations of the Cutting and Spreading department and the Bimini top packaging operations at the 212 North Lyles location.
- Control usage of materials and supervisor loading fabric by utility person.
- Keep attendance records.
- Responsible for enforcing all corporate policies and procedures.
- Responsible for training, development, motivation and disciplinary action of employees while working with the Human Resources Dept.
- Supervise hourly employees while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
- Coordinate daily work to be done.
- Record each employee’s production and account for their time.
- Responsible for maintaining safe, usable equipment for production employees.
- Responsible for seeing that proper quality control procedures are being followed and applied daily.
- Responsible for maintaining good work rapport with other production departments.
- Handles problems that may occur during daily production and troubleshoot as needed.
- Keeps in communication with Purchasing and Materials Manager as to what cannot be done due to unforeseen occurrences such as material shortages or pattern problems, etc.
- Monitor reports to ensure timely delivery of cut parts to sewing departments for on time delivery.
- Responsible for all logo functions.
- Oversee the productivity, quality, and on-time delivery of the packaging area. The packaging employee(s) at the 212 North Lyles location report directly to this supervisor position.
- Provide the organization of work necessary to achieve the packaging objectives.
- Responsible for training operators in the spreading, kitting, stacking, cutting, and Bimini top packaging areas at the 212 North Lyles location.
- Secure and close plant facilities when required.
- Assist and interact with Satellite facilities as needed.
- Maintain all EMS standards as required.
- Perform monthly and year end inventory.
- All other related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Supervisory Skills.
- Computer Literate
- Knowledge of computerized cutting a plus.
- Math skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Prior cutting experience with automated cutting systems a plus.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have 20/20 or corrected to normal vision.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Lifting can mean heavy objects, straight from the floor to waist level or above shoulder level.
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in moderate noise levels
- Must have good hand gripping ability.
- Must be able to multitask.
