Under close supervision, performs as an entry level trainee and receives orientation and training in information systems analysis, principles, and techniques; information technology systems uses, limitations, and operating requirements; programming: County-wide information systems; County organizations and functions, and basic workflow patterns; and performs other related duties as required.Examples of Duties:

Attends orientation and training sessions;
Learns the principles, concepts, work processes, regulations, and reference materials fundamental to information systems analysis work;
May occasionally accompany a higher-level analyst on interviews and meetings as an observer;
Performs simple tasks to gain knowledge and develop skill in the application of work processes and techniques;
May assist in routine preparation and modification of systems and user documentation as directed by higher level systems analysts;
Compiles data, searches records for data on a specific project, reviews completed systems flow charts, drafts systems flow charts, drafts minor revisions for the procedure’s manual;
Assists higher level analysts with project assignments, including researching and compiling data;
May assist in providing technical and systems support to information technology users, including backups, installation, and routine software maintenance;
May perform simple and routine computer programming tasks; and
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Training & Experience:
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a baccalaureate degree.
License Requirement : Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license (Hawaii type 3 or equivalent).
