- POSITION SUMMARY**:
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assign work, set schedules, interview, train and develop subordinates. Delegate authority and responsibility, establish procedures and methods, control operating costs, interpret policy, and review performance.
- Develop, implement and manage a countywide equipment maintenance program.
- Schedule, set-up and supervise general maintenance activities including: building maintenance, repair of utilities and boiler systems, electrical systems, carpentry, masonry, painting, dams, vehicles and county grounds maintenance.
- Develop employee-training programs so the trades' personnel can function individually or in a group setting.Provide training and technical instruction to subordinates in all areas. Process forms and maintain records as required.
- Assist in preparation of budgets.
- Responsible for basic supervision of tradesmen for work assignments, etc.
- Responsible for security and supervision of tools, materials, etc.
- Assist security staff during any emergency or situation affecting facility safety and security.
- Administer employee grievance issues.
- Performs related duties as required by Director of Operations.

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering are highly desirable.
- Five years' management experience supervising trades and related functions.
- Working knowledge of building trade-related mechanics.
- Possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License.
