Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Professional to oversee and coordinate care services within the group home setting during second shift (2:30p-8:30p). Paid on-call after hours responsibilities would be required with this position on a scheduled basis.
This vital role involves managing day-to-day operations, supervising direct support staff, and ensuring compliance with health regulations and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving combined with leadership skills and a passion for enhancing residents' quality of life. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise direct support staff to deliver compassionate, person-centered services aligned with individual care plans.
- Ensure compliance with group home care regulations, health policies, and safety standards across the facility.
- Develop, review, and update resident care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
- Manage daily operations including staffing schedules, medication administration, and documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
- Facilitate staff training on and ongoing basis and as needed.
- Maintain open communication with residents’ families and coordinate community-based services as needed.
- Supervise administrative functions related to home & community care operations and ensure adherence to health regulation policies.
Experience
- Prior experience working at a group home or in the healthcare field is a plus.
- Must have a passion for caregiving and for working with individuals with disabilities as well as their families and supports.
- Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy working with people.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams within healthcare or social services environments.
- Familiarity with NCDHHS group home regulations and operational oversight.
- Prior experience supervising staff members in a group home setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and resident safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in disability services is an asset.

Minimum starting pay - $22.00 - Negotiable based on experience
