Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms.
- Sort laundry items based on fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results
- Perform routine cleaning of laundry areas, including sinks, machines, and storage spaces to uphold safety and hygiene standards
- Handle dry cleaning processes when necessary, ensuring delicate items are treated with appropriate techniques
- Assist with the collection and delivery of laundry items throughout the property or designated areas
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and laundry accessories; notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow all safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or cleaning services is preferred; hotel experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, ironing, and dry cleaning processes
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all linens and garments meet quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks
- Clear understanding of safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment operation
