We are looking for dependable, hardworking team members to join our housekeeping team as a Houseperson at the award-winning Country Inn & Suites in Findlay.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the entire housekeeping operation and helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked hotel environment for our guests. The ideal candidate is someone who works well with others, communicates effectively, takes initiative, and is willing to step in wherever help is needed.
This is a fast-paced, physically active position that requires reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas including hallways, elevators, stairwells, lobby areas, entrances, and service areas
- Walk assigned floors and public spaces throughout the shift to remove trash, linen, trays, and other items needing attention
- Remove soiled linen, towels, and trash from service areas and transport them to the appropriate locations
- Assist housekeepers with stripping rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining efficient room turnover
- Support the laundry department with folding, sorting, and organization as needed
- Help maintain inventory and organization of housekeeping and laundry supplies
- Respond professionally and hospitably to guest questions and requests
- Assist with banquet setup, breakdown, and cleaning as needed
- Communicate regularly with the Executive Housekeeper regarding departmental needs, maintenance concerns, or guest issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations
Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork are required
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests, co-workers, and management
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior housekeeping, hotel, laundry, or custodial experience is helpful but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong attitude and work ethic
- Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to support the team wherever needed
Schedule Requirements:
Weekend and holiday availability is required. Applicants who are unavailable on weekends or holidays will not be considered.
Typical Hours:
Hours vary based on hotel occupancy and business demands.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $14.00 per hour
- Part-time and full-time opportunities available
