Server Assistants, also known as buspersons, set and clean dining room tables before, during, and after meal service as well as assist servers with miscellaneous tasks.
Essential Job Duties
- Assist Servers in their set-up, service and clean-up tasks
- Serve water and bread baskets to Members and guest, when applicable
- Assist in carrying food trays to tables
- Remove solid dishes from table and bring to dish-washing area
- Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen
- Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items
- Cleans dining room areas
- Stocks servers station with supplies
- Dusts chairs before and after meals
- Keeps ice bins and buckets filled
- Cleans and stores high chairs and booster seats
- Folds napkins and bread basket linens
- Cleans up spills and broken service ware
- Assists Food & Beverage Managers and other employees with enforcing Club’s rules
- Polishes silver service items and glassware
- Assist in completing roll ups
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Physical stamina and ability to work on feet
- Strong teamwork, communication and observation skills
- Efficient, organized and observation skills
- Professional demeanor
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel crouch, bend, stretch and twist/reach
- Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
- Continuous repetitive motions
- Ability to work in loud environment
