Role Description
This is a seasonal, on-site Opening Lifeguard position based in Grosse Pointe, MI. The Lifeguard will ensure the safety of all members and guests at the pool facility, enforce pool rules and safety protocols, and respond quickly to emergencies. Responsibilities include monitoring pool activities, performing rescues as needed, maintaining a clean and safe pool area, and assisting with pool operations, including managing pool equipment and reporting any maintenance needs. Shift is 5:45am - 12:00am Monday thru Friday. 5/28-9/4 Great pay, meal every shift and the rest of the day free. Candidate will be trained to perform all pool opening duties.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues
- Knowledge of basic lifeguarding techniques, CPR, and first aid
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with members and guests
- Capability to maintain cleanliness and safety in and around the pool area
- Must hold a valid lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a related role is a plus
