Coulee Medical Center is seeking a Health Information Analyst to join our Health Information Management (HIM) department, supporting the data integrity, compliance, and operational workflows of our Rural Health Clinic and Critical Access Hospital. Responsibilities:
- Collecting paperwork to assemble into charts form originating departments
- Alpha sort and assemble papers/documents into charts verifying accuracy and completeness of required documents
- Compile, manage, and process record requests within HIPAA guidelines, CMC policy, and department goals. This includes individual patients, other healthcare facilities, legal facilities and HIS
- Prepare and scan records into permanent electronic storage program
- Answer phones and assist patients or other departments with requests
- Tracks down missing orders and other pertinent documents to make sure accounts are complete and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Downloads documents into PDF format from various sources such as REDDE and uploads them into the current EMR for safekeeping
- Receive, send, and distribute department mail
- Prepares records and logs for offsite storage
- Use of copy and fax machine
- Organizing and filing data
- Communicate with team members and outside departments to accomplish tasks
- Navigate current computer systems efficiently to complete tasks
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- Previous work in medical facility preferred
Language Ability:
- Speak, write and understand English

Computer/Technical Skills:
- This job requires the use of computer, email, phone, copy, and fax machine
