What We Do

Here, no two workdays look the same. You’ll help individuals with disabilities with:

• Envelope stuffing, label application, box assembly
• Building parts for government and commercial contracts
• Operating machines: label feeders, bag sealers, weigh scales, tape guns, sewing machines
• Collaborating with Churchill, Jostens, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and more
• Blending laughter, learning, and productivity every shift

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional I, you’ll coach and empower individuals to grow their production skills. You’ll offer encouragement, track progress, and help shape a supportive, inclusive warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with job skill development
• Participate in Person-Centered Support Planning
• Provide crisis and emergency support
• Maintain paper and digital documentation
• Model professionalism, empathy, and teamwork
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and reliable attendance
• Partner with internal departments, families, and support networks

Skills & Traits

• Basic computer skills (data entry, email)

Physical Expectations

• Assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Lift/move items over 40 lbs
• Stand for extended periods

Work Environment

You’ll work in a dynamic warehouse setting with moderate noise and constant team interaction. This is a hands-on, non-supervisory role with high impact!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (exceptions may apply)
