Inside Salesperson - Commercial Sales

Position Summary

This role will focus on selling a wide range of commercial products including hardware, paint, building supplies, etc. to commercial contractors, property management companies, facilities, municipalities, etc. The Inside Commercial Salesperson will work both independently inside the store and collaborate with the outside sales team to acquire new customers and grow existing relationships.

Major Responsibilities

• Completely focused on sales & customer service.
• Generate sales growth from new & existing customers.
• Understand customer needs and requirements.
• Use discretion and judgement to make appropriate decisions to satisfy customer’s needs.
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representatives for further development and closure.
• Close sales and achieve monthly quotas.
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
• Work with the Outside Sales staff to build pipelines and close deals.
• Performs other duties as assigned on an as needed basis.

• Knowledge of products and capabilities
• Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• College degree, business background preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
• Fluent knowledge of Microsoft office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access.
• Must be willing to travel to and from stores and businesses.
• Work independently and well as in a team setting

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be flexible enough to hit critical/varied deadlines.

• Climbing: Occasional- Stairs
• Vision: Constant- Read labels, recognize boxes, safety in working
• Hearing: Constant- Safety signals
